Murder in the Blue Room is a 1944 American mystery film, directed by Leslie Goodwins.[2]
The film is the second film remake of the murder-mystery film Secret of the Blue Room (1933), following The Missing Guest (1938). The original American film was itself a remake of the German film Secret of the Blue Room (1932). This remake follows the same plot, but adds comical songs. In the film, a young couple investigate a murder which took place in their own house.

Background
[edit]It is the second remake of the 1933 American Pre-Code murder-mystery film Secret of the Blue Room, the first being Universal's 1938 remake, The Missing Guest. Faithful to the original plot, Murder in the Blue Room plays up the comedy with songs. The plot is based on the 1932 German film Secret of the Blue Room.
